Community Meal & Food Pantry
The third Wednesday of each month, Local Compassionate Ministries hosts a Community Meal and Food Pantry at Newstart Church. The goal is to provide relief to those in Delaware County who are dealing with food insecurity by providing a hot meal in a warm, safe and caring environment. We also open the doors to our food pantry to help fill their shelves at home.
We encourage everyone at Newstart to join us for a meal and the opportunity to share the love of Christ and bring hope and healing to those who are hurting in our community. All are welcome to attend.
Each month many volunteers are needed to make this event happen. If you’re interested in volunteering to serve at the Community Meal and Food Pantry, please contact Michelle Quitter. To sign up to provide food, please visit our sign-up sheet.

The Mid-Ohio Foodbank Mobile Market is a program designed to bring fresh foods and groceries to individuals and families in communities where food access is limited. The refrigerated truck visits housing sites, community centers, public libraries and schools—bringing the market to you.
This market will distribute fresh produce and other perishable staples like eggs and milk. You are invited to shop for free, bring your own bags and means of carrying the food home.

Free Store
Are you looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity? We may have one just for you!
The Common Ground Free Store is a special ministry to Newstart. They are in need of volunteers and we want YOU to help us fill that need!!
We are looking for 13-15 volunteers to help fill the spaces needed on the last Monday of each month from 5:15 pm - 8:45 pm. Being a volunteer on that evening would give Common Ground a “full staff” of volunteers to fill the many roles needed. From greeter, to shopper and even check out and stock.
